Liverpool and Arsenal have considered signing Atalanta’s Éderson, with interest from the two clubs covered in Italy again today.
The midfielder was one of the standout players for La Dea last season, when they won the Europa League by beating Bayer Leverkusen in the final.
Éderson has made 19 appearances in all competitions this season and continued to shine for the Serie A side.
This has clearly not gone unnoticed as Liverpool and Arsenal are among the clubs to have taken note of his performances.
That’s according to Friday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, and they cover Liverpool and Arsenal interest in the 25-year-old, when previewing Atalanta’s clash against AC Milan later today.
The newspaper indicates Gian Piero Gasperini will mainly use the Brazil international to ‘limit’ Milan star Tijjani Reijnders. They then focus on Éderson’s growth at Atalanta and him attracting interest from other clubs in the process.
Liverpool and Arsenal have made contact to sign the South American, but both walked away due to Atalanta’s €60m request.
