Spanish newspaper AS on Wednesday carry on claims that Liverpool are interested in Theo Hernandez.
The 19 year old is currently on loan to Alaves, with his contract there ending in the summer. Hernandez’s parent club Atletico Madrid have the player on a contract until June 2021, so they’ve no concern on that front.
Despite that, it’s been claimed in Spain that both Real Madrid and Liverpool have made approaches to the player and already submitted offers. Those proposals would be related to salary, and it’s claimed Liverpool have offered three times more than what Madrid have put forward.
Jurgen Klopp’s interest in the youngster is underestdnable. Hernandez can play at left back and also in central defence, he would be a wise long term investment for Liverpool.
Of course, Atletico’s will in all of this is important, and Liverpool or anyone else looking to buy the player would have to agree a fee with the Rojiblancos.
It’s a difficult one for Liverpool, but offering three times the salary of Real Madrid would show they’re serious. Bayern Munich and Barcelona are also said to be interested in a player who is clearly attracting attention.
