Liverpool have money and aren’t afraid to spend it.

The purchase of Virgil van Dijk shocked many around Europe given how relentless Liverpool were in their chase and what price the Reds were prepared to go to get the defender from Southampton.

This all sees Jurgen Klopp’s side dragged into transfer chases they may not have otherwise been, with the feeling that if the club will pay £75m for a defender then they’ll go further for an attacker.

Italy’s SportMediaSet (via Calciomercato) report Liverpool have already ‘made a survey’ to sound out their chances of signing the Argentine. There’s no explanation whether that was direct to Juventus or with the player’s representatives.

Transfer rumours have been building around Dybala after a claim he had lunch with Diego Simeone. That’s led SportMediaSet to say Atletico Madrid would be prepared to spend €110m on Dybala if they sell Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona this summer.

It’s a sure thing Juventus would want way over €100m for the 24 year old, especially given his contract runs until June 2022.

Dybala doesn’t appear to be what Liverpool are crying out for right now, but the rumour has been started so it’ll likely rumble on for a while yet.
