Earlier this month, Marca reported Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold has ended up on Real Madrid’s radar. It was also stated the Champions League winners want to wait until January before making a decision on signing him.
The England international has less than a year left on his contract. The La Liga side have been considering signing him for free next summer.
Alexander-Arnold is on the front page of today’s edition of Marca. It’s claimed Liverpool ‘already know’ that he will not sign a new deal at Anfield.
Los Blancos had earlier decided to sign a right-back and a centre-back at the end of this season. They could change their stance due to injuries to some of their defenders and strengthen their backline in January, especially after Dani Carvajal suffered a serious knee injury earlier this month.
The Liverpool star’s name ‘appears above all’ for the right-back position. It’s claimed the option of strengthen the two positions [left centre-back and a right-back] in January is ‘increases as days go by’.
Alexander-Arnold would be the main target for the right side. The newspaper states Real Madrid will sign him, if it’s possible for them to snatch him away from the Reds in January.
