Liverpool are monitoring Olympiakos youngster Aguibou Camara after scouting him in a recent clash with Fenerbahce.
That’s according to SportTime, who say the attacking midfielder left a Reds scout impressed with his performance against the Turkish side.
They report that Olympiakos ‘see another investment’ on the horizon with Camara, who has become the ‘new star’ at the club and ‘quickly made a splash’ with his performances.
He recently put in an excellent display against Fenerbahce in the Europa League, a performance which led Liverpool to put him on their ‘books’.
That game saw numerous scouts from Europe in attendance, and plenty gave Camara positive reviews, but none more so than the one from Anfield, who ‘started asking around’ to find out details about the 20-year-old.
At the minute, Liverpool’s interest is nothing more than a passing one, but they are ‘expected to keep an eye on him’ and send scouts to more games in future.
Olympiakos are aware of this and have ‘good relations’ with Jurgen Klopp’s side, so that could ‘bring developments’ in the future should the Reds decide they want him.
That’s not the case for the time being, with them only ‘monitoring’ how he develops after he caught the eye of their scout.
The interest is clearly there, though, and perhaps Camara is a name we’ll be hearing a lot more of if he continues to shine in Greece.
