Officially, N’Jie is only on loan but L’Equipe believe the terms of the deal are structured in a way which makes a permanent deal almost inevitable.

Given N’NJie’s difficult first, and probably last, season with Tottenham, there’s an assumption from some that he didn’t enjoy his time in London. However, N’Jie is clearly still fond of the club and his former teammates.

Explaining that he had no problems personally, N’Jie told the French newspaper: “I have known the Lyon dressing room and I discovered the OM one, but it has nothing in common with London. We lived like brothers. The guys are there two hours after training. There is a games room. Two or three times a week, there were dinners.”

N’Jie’s time at Tottenham was more held back by injuries, and he may have been disappointed when, during the summer, according to L’Equipe, Mauricio Pochettino explained to him there’d be fewer chances in the current campaign.
