Wolves are on top of the world at the moment.
A reasonable start to the Premier League campaign has underlined that the club are ready for the top level of English football and the perception is that things may only improve in future transfer windows.
However, there’s a little worry coming from Italy.
Calciomercato believe Jorge Mendes’ new relationship with Juventus, after the Cristiano Ronaldo transfer, could lead straight to Wolves in future transfer windows.
The Mendes connection ‘leads straight to Wolverhampton’, claims Calciomercato, and two specific players.
Following their teaming up with Mendes, it’s claimed Juventus are keeping a close eye on Ruben Neves and Diogo Jota for future transfer windows.
The Turin club were one of several repeatedly linked with Neves during his time at Porto, before he eventually made the move to Wolves.
The insinuation is that if Mendes decides Juve is the next step then the players will fall into line.
This could be speculation and assumption dressed up as something else by Calciomercato, but they clearly believe there’s something in it.
