The Leroy Sane rumours hadn’t really been covered by Bild, with the German newspaper clearly not thinking there was much in the claims he could move to Bayern Munich.

Kicker did get involved with the claims around the Manchester City man, but then they’re always more likely to.

This week’s edition of SportBild explained Bayer don’t want to spend more than €80m on one player, and it was believed that made a Sane pursuit over before it began, but now there’s some giddiness building.

All the restraint that Bild has shown has been dispensed with after Robert Lewandowski made it clear he’d welcome the signing, when quizzed about it on Wednesday.

Today they have an article asking if it’s really possible. The Manchester City player is dubbed the ‘100-million-man’ and it’s then again explained Uli Hoeneß publicly stated the club won’t go beyond €80m for anyone this summer.

However, Bild can’t help themselves and say Pep Guardiola isn’t happy with Sane’s ‘tactical behaviour and lifestyle’, and the player isn’t happy with being benched.

There’s not much in it, but City should probably get a renewal sorted out before this excitement turns into a campaign.
