Hector Bellerin’s agent has spoken to Sky Italia on Thursday, and has revealed there’s a local side interested in the Arsenal fullback.

Albert Botines didn’t want to reveal the name of the club, but claimed that at least one Serie A side has been looking to take the 24-year-old away from London.

“At the moment he is focused on the team’s commitments, comes from a bad injury and is returning to his levels. He likes Italy, the interest of an Italian club has been there but I can’t reveal it,” Botines told Sky Sports (via Calcio Mercato).

“He has a long contract and it won’t be easy to take him away from Arsenal. He is vice-captain, we will see how the season will go.”

Bellerin’s cruciate ligament injury sidelined him back in January, and he’s only returned to the team recently, having made five appearances for the Gunner so far this season.

The injury is obviously a reason why he hasn’t been linked to many clubs in the summer. It was actually the opposite, with Arsenal getting involved in several rumours about a replacement for the Frenchman.

Bellerin is tied with a contract at the Gunners until 2023, so that’s a pretty good reason why his agent can’t push stronger for a transfer out of the club now.
