At the weekend, reports from the English media claimed that Tottenham Hotspur players are ‘unhappy’ with the presence of Fabio Paratici and Steve Hitchen around the team during matches.
Both the managing director of football and the technical performance director had been on the bench for Spurs’ home games this season, and that was allegedly enough to make part of the squad uncomfortable.
With Paratici always getting attention from Italy, where he had a well-known job at Juventus, there are now people in his home country saying this behaviour isn’t something new from him.
That’s why journalist Fabio Ravezzani went public to criticise the director as well. On Twitter, the pundit claimed that the Tottenham official had the same kind of problem at the Old Lady.
“I wrote it when he was at Juve and many were offended,” said Ravezzani.
“The director of a big club cannot yell at the referee from the stands like the last of the ultras. It’s not just a question of style.”
Following the international break, Tottenham go to the Selhurst Park to play Crystal Palace, and then receive Chelsea on the 19th of September. Now many people will probably be watching where Paratici sits for that game, and how he reacts to events on the pitch.
