Manchester City and Liverpool are among the clubs chasing Torino’s Samuele Ricci for the winter market.
The midfielder has made 19 appearances this season and has impressed for the Serie A side, which hasn’t gone unnoticed in Italy and England.
Recent claims from the Italian media have talked about Manchester City and Liverpool interest in the 23-year-old.
This is backed up by Sport Mediaset, who then provide the latest on the Premier League duo. AC Milan and Inter Milan are also in the picture to sign Ricci.
Their title names these four clubs and says the ‘hunt for Samuele Ricci begins in January’.
The Italy international’s deal lasts until 2026, and the Turin club are working to extend his contract. Without a renewal, they could be forced to cash in from his sale next year.
It’s claimed Torino chairman Urbano Cairo has set a ‘high price’ of €35m, which should be affordable for Pep Guardiola’s side and and are looking for a midfielder.
Rodri’s long-term absence and recent dip in form could see the Citizens sign a midfielder in January. Liverpool have excelled this season, but perhaps don’t have a player of Ricci’s qualities at Anfield.
The two clubs are also credited with interest in Real Sociedad’s Martín Zubimendi. The report states if one of them were to sign him, the other could concretely focus on Ricci.
