West Ham United are keeping tabs on Montpellier’s Stephy Mavididi.
After coming up through the ranks of Arsenal’s youth system, and after a few loan spells, the 23-year-old left the Gunners for Juventus in 2018.
He was largely featuring for the Turin club’s U23 side, but made a first team appearance in April 2019. The striker spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Dijon before he was sold to Montpellier in 2020.
The former Gunners academy frontman has impressed in the Ligue 1 for more than two years now.
Having managed nine goals in the league last season with Montpellier, Mavididi continued to shine for them this term, with eight goals and three assists in 21 matches.
David Moyes’ side have taken note of the player’s performances. TuttoMercatoWeb claim he is now ‘back in the sights’ of Premier League clubs, including the Hammers.
That’s the only information mentioned about West Ham as the report explains Mavididi can ‘return to England’ if the French club were to receive a ‘maxi offer’.
