Looking for a new striker this summer, Bordeaux have been keeping an eye on what’s going on around Europe.
Trying to please Gustavo Poyet with some new signings following the sale of Malcom to Bordeaux, the Ligue 1 side have turned their attention to Scotland.
According to L’Equipe, the French club are taking an interest in Rangers’ Alfredo Morelos, who signed from HJK Helsinki just last summer.
Already off to a good start with three goals and two assists in seven games this season, the 22-year-old is on his way to improving on last campaign’s tally of 18 goals in 43 appearances in all competitions.
However, if Bordeaux get their way, Steven Gerrard might have to think about finding a new goalscorer, although he does have Umar Sadiq sitting on the bench.
No move has been made yet, but L’Equipe make it clear the Gustavo Poyet and co. have ‘targeted’ the Rangers striker, suggesting the Scottish side could be facing a bid in the near future.
One to keep an eye on for the Ibrox faithful.
