A week to the day after RMC Sport reported Bordeaux had added West Ham’s Diafra Sakho to their striker wishlist for January, the very same outlet are now reporting the Ligue 1 side are readying an offer for the 28-year-old.

While their need for a new goalscorer means they need to bring someone in before the end of the month, that the Hammers’ forward has remained a target could be seen as surprising.

After all, a lot has changed at Bordeaux over the past seven days, with Jocelyn Gourvennec getting sacked and replaced with Gus Poyet, but it seems Sakho is still someone the club want.

In fact, RMC Sport claim the Ligue 1 outfit are readying a ‘dry loan’ offer for the Senegalese striker, and are prepared to take on part of his wages.

However, before making the bid an official one, they just want to double check they can actually get the deal sorted, with West Ham said to be standing firm on their stance of wanting an obligatory purchase clause included in any loan.

Bordeaux aren’t the only ones interested, with Rennes, where Sakho tried to sign during the final days of the summer transfer window also in talks to bring in the Hammers’ forward.

It seems the former Metz star is living his last few days at London Stadium.
