FC Inter News are claiming an exclusive on Wednesday afternoon, and it’s a pretty big one.
They’ve been following Christian Eriksen’s situation closely, given Inter’s interest in signing the Tottenham player. With Jose Mourinho’s side unable to get the Dane to agree a renewal, the prospect of a free transfer in the summer is growing bigger.
Most of the Italian slants, including from FC Inter News, are that a summer exit from Tottenham is likelier, so that both the player and his new club can take advantage of that status.
Now they’ve pulled Manchester United strongly into the claims. It’s stated Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have made a £20m offer to Tottenham for Eriksen.
Daniel Levy, keen that Spurs don’t later lose him for nothing, is said to have telephoned agent Martin Schoots this morning, who it’s explained was in Amsterdam.
According to the claims, Tottenham want to ‘push’ their player to Manchester United, yet his agent prefers waiting for a summer transfer. That’s why it’s believed Inter are in pole position, unless there’s new entries from Real Madrid and PSG.
It’s worth noting that new tax laws in Italy are very advantageous to high earners moving to the country, after a change towards the end of last year.
