For many months, Chelsea fullback Emerson Palmieri has been linked with a move to Serie A.
The 25-year-old played under both Maurizio Sarri and Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge and the latter two are currently in charge of Juventus and Inter Milan respectively.
On May 17th, we relayed news from Italy that the Old Lady and Nerazzurri are interested in the 25-year-old.
Two days ago, Corriere dello Sport reported the Blues value their player around €40m and they ‘refused’ the Turin club’s exchange offer involving Mattia De Sciglio.
There have also been other claims that Conte would like to have the Brazil-born Italy international at the San Siro, and the Inter manager had held talks with the player’s camp.
Speaking to FcInter1908.it, Emerson’s agent Fernando Garcia admitted there has been no moments with regards to his client’s chances of returning to the Serie A.
“At the moment everything is stopped. We have had no contact with any club, not even with Inter. We never spoke to Mr. Conte,” said Garcia.
“Return to Italy? I don’t know, let’s see. He still has three years of contract with Chelsea.”
