Over the past few weeks, the Turkish press have covered Brighton & Hove Albion’s pursuit of Fenerbahçe star Ferdi Kadıoğlu.
The Premier League side are of the belief the deal has dragged on and the headline states ‘let this be over now’.
That’s according to Sabah, who provide the latest on Brighton’s efforts to get this deal over the line.
Fabian Hürzeler has already called the left-back to explain his plans for him at Brighton. He informed the Turkey international of his idea to play both back four and a three-man defence.
The manager’s intention is to use Kadıoğlu in both formations and also take advantage of the 24-year-old’s versatility to deploy him as a right-back. The player was pleased with it and also impressed with Hürzeler’s plans for him.
Brighton will officially contact the Turkish club this week to understand the conditions to carry out the defender’s transfer. The English club aim to quickly close the deal for €35m.
The Istanbul club, on the other hand, are thinking of getting more money, likely through bonuses.
Fenerbahçe are being greedy, but Sabah makes no mention of the fee they hope to earn from Kadıoğlu’s sale. Last Tuesday, Haber Vakti explained Fenerbahçe could be aiming for €40m.
