“Let me leave!” These are the words that Wilfried Bony has reportedly said to Manchester City after claims he’s agreed personal terms with Fenerbahçe.
Fantatik have claimed Ivorian striker informed Manchester City he wants to join Fenerbahçe as he has no future at the Etihad under Pep Guardiola.
This week we covered reports from Turkey that Fenerbahçe have agreed to pay Bony €3.5m a season, and the club have offered €1.5m to Manchester City to take the player on a season’s loan.
Manchester City’s decision on this offer is not yet known, but Bony is said to be putting pressure on the Premier League side by saying he wants to sign for Fenerbahçe. With the player seemingly surplus to requirements under Guardiola a move is likely this summer.
The Turkish side are looking to confirm Bony’s signing next week, in time to declare their squad for the Europa League qualifiers.
