After spending five seasons at Liverpool, Georginio Wijnaldum left Anfield at the end of last season, when his contract with the Reds expired.

The midfielder was courted by Barcelona for a year, but he snubbed the La Liga giants in favour of Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.

His decision to join PSG hasn’t gone well so far, even though he has made 12 league appearances [including seven starts] and four [two starts] in the Champions League.

Earlier this month, the 30-year-old admitted he needs to get used to his new teammates, when asked about the differences between Liverpool and the Ligue 1 side.

With the last international break of this calendar year, RMC Sport decided to take a look at summer signings that have impressed and flopped so far.

The Netherlands international has been labelled as one of the ‘flops’ as his performances have been ‘disappointing’ for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

RMC Sport further state: ‘After a noticeable Euros with the Netherlands, Georginio Wijnaldum is struggling to find his mark with the PSG jersey. Less sharp than in Liverpool, the 30-year-old midfielder seems a bit lost in his new team, even though his recent outings suggest an improvement.’

It is clear things haven’t gone well for the Dutchman since he swapped Liverpool for PSG, but Wijnaldum will be hoping things improve for him in the second half of the season.
