Paris Saint-Germain have followed Manchester United star Paul Pogba for ‘several weeks, according to today’s edition of L’Equipe.
The midfielder, like Kylian Mbappé, has a year left on his contract and Real Madrid are keen to sign the latter before the window closes next Tuesday.
In the event the forward leaves the Ligue 1 side, then there are ‘three possibilities for PSG’ in the final week of the window.
They are either to sign an attacker or strengthen the midfield by either the Red Devils man or Rennes’ Eduardo Camavinga.
Regarding the France international, there has been no concrete claims or suggestion from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer he will sign a new contract at Old Trafford.
Taking the time left on his current deal, the newspaper states the 28-year-old is ‘sortable at less than €100m’. Pogba’s arrival at Parc des Princes would mean PSG replacing one World Cup winner [Mbappé] with another.
Along with Pogba, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are ‘keeping an eye on Camavinga’, who also has a contract expiring in 2022. The Rennes player will be ‘cheaper’ than the United star.
It’s worth stressing L’Equipe are saying Pogba is a ‘possibility’ for PSG if Mbappé ends up at Real Madrid.
