On Sunday, Manchester United announced Paul Pogba is set to undergo medicals at the club to bring an end to the transfer saga.
The Frenchman is set to sign for the Premier League giants for a world record transfer fee.
French newspaper L’Equipe on Monday have dedicated their first four pages to Paul Pogba’s transfer to Manchester United, as they bring more details to their readers.
It is reported Manchester United and Juventus have agreed on a transfer fee of around €120m. Pogba is expected to undergo medicals today before signing a five-year contract with his former club.
The 23-year-old will earn wages of around €13m/year at Manchester United, but has also retained 20% of his image rights which is believed to be worth around €7m/year.
Manchester United have the rest of of his image rights, 80%, and L’Equipe believe they’ll be able to get back a significant portion of their investment through that.
L’Equipe say Adidas will play a significant role to help Manchester United exploit the player’s market value, and have already proved that during negotiations.
It is reported the delay in the transfer was due to Mino Raiola’s payment, and he should now pocket around €20m. In Italy it has been reported that rather than Raiola receiving commission, he’s actually being paid asn amount contractually agreed previously with Juventus.
Finally, L’Equipe report Manchester United will now pay a small portion of the transfer fee in bonuses, but they haven’t mentioned the exact figure.
