AC Milan have been ‘talking for days’ with Leicester City and West Ham over a deal for winger Alexis Saelemaekers, but Ipswich and Nottingham are in the mix.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who report that Milan are keen to move the player on and Leicester and West Ham would be happy to take him.

They explain that while Saelemaekers is considered a ‘golden boy’ by Milan, where he is well loved and has never put a toe out of line or stirred up any controversy, the fact is that he is not a part of their plans moving forwards.

The hope had been that they could sell him to Bologna but that’s not on the cards and so they are now looking at other options and Leicester are one of them.

While Milan are in no hurry to sell at this point, they have been ‘talking for days’ with various parties, especially Leicester and West Ham.

According to CM, the player’s most likely destination at this point is the Premier League as Leicester and West Ham have already opened talks while Ipswich and Nottingham Forest are ‘also in the background’.

The feeling is that offers from any of those clubs could arrive at the beginning of next week, although it’s unclear if they think that it’ll be the clubs who’ve opened talks or if Ipswich and Nottingham Forest will do so as well.

Either way, those four are in the mix and Saelemaekers seems destined to end up in the Premier League this summer.
