Leicester City are keeping a close eye on Genoa left-back Andrea Cambiaso but face competition from Watford for his signature.
That’s according to Tuttomercatoweb, who say the two Premier League clubs have ‘enquired’ about the youngster.
Cambiaso has been a regular for Genoa so far this season, with 12 appearances in Serie A to his name to date.
He only made his debut in the league in the 4-0 loss to Inter Milan back in August but has settled quickly to life in the top flight in Italy, with one goal and two assists to his name so far.
He has ‘immediately showed his qualities’, and that has ‘attracted the attention’ of clubs inside and outside of Italy.
Juventus are a ‘hot possibility’, but AC Milan and Fiorentina are also looking at him, and that is before the interest from abroad.
Leicester and Watford have both ‘enquired’ about him from the Premier League, while Sevilla and Dortmund have been in touch from Spain and Germany, respectively.
There’s a long list of suitors, then, meaning both Leicester and Watford may need to move quickly to secure his signature.
There is no indication that either have done anything but make enquiries as yet, but his name may be one worth keeping an eye on from here on out.
