With just Serge Aurier at his disposal for the right-back role currently, it’s no secret José Mourinho will want a new right-back at Tottenham for next season.
The club have been linked to a few players in that role, including Thomas Meunier, who has since joined Borussia Dortmund on a free.
However, other names, such as that of Timothy Castagne, have done the rounds, with Leicester City also said to be keen on the Belgian.
The Foxes currently have both Ricardo Pereira and James Justin at their disposal, but with a number of rumours surrounding the Portuguese, perhaps there’s a plan to look for a potential replacement should a big offer comes in for him.
Either way, Le10 Sport in France explain that Castagne is, for now, focusing on the end of the season, with nothing set to take place until then, as Atalanta are also set to face Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.
Once that’s over, however, the player ‘wants to talk’ with the three managers interested in him, who are the Ligue 1 champions’ Thomas Tuchel, Tottenham’s José Mourinho and Leicester’s Brendan Rodgers.
That means all three ‘will be solicited’ to talk with the player, with each getting a go at trying to convince him.
May the best talker win.
