Adrien Silva, who doesn’t appear to be in Claude Puel’s plans, could very well end up in Ligue 1, but not with Bordeaux, who have been trying to sort out a loan over the past week or so.

Instead, he could be transferred to AS Monaco, who have been in talks with Leicester City about Youri Tielemans over the past few hours.

According to L’Equipe, who confirm the information presented by Sky Sports News earlier on in the day, Leonardo Jardim isn’t a fan of the Belgian, wanting to replace him with Adrien Silva.

The Portuguese manager is said to have made a transfer for his compatriot a ‘priority’, and both sides are currently looking at a potential swap deal, orchestrated by Jorge Mendes, which would send Tielemans to King Power Stadium and the Foxes midfielder to Stade Louis II.

Another unnamed English side are reportedly competing with Leicester, but Claude Puel’s side have ‘taken a lead’ in the matter after Jardim decided he ‘didn’t wish to keep the Belgian around’.

This could be one of the more intriguing deals of the January window, and snapping Tielemans up could be seen as quite the coup by the Premier League club.
