Leicester City star Youri Tielemans is ‘far from’ his best level, and that could end up affecting his chances of a summer transfer window.
That’s according to former Belgian footballer Eddy Snelders, who is less than convinced by the Leicester man.
Tielemans has struggled to replicate his best form for the Foxes this year on a personal level and as part of Brendan Rodgers side’s dip in form.
It’s something that’s carried over to his form for Belgium, with the player struggling to establish himself under Roberto Martinez.
That has continued during this international break, with the Leicester man failing to make an impression in the wins over Burkina Faso and Ireland.
One man who was significantly unimpressed by his performance was Snelders, who criticised Tielemans’ display and suggested his current form could end up affecting his chances of a big summer transfer.
“Youri Tielemans was underperforming in Ireland,” he wrote for Sporza as part of his assessment of the Burkina Faso win.
“Against Burkina Faso, it was a bit better, but still, he is far from the level of his best period. Tielemans is struggling for a while.
“That came out even more without the experienced Devils around. It will be very interesting to see what step he takes next summer. Just like some other Devils.”
