Riyad Mahrez is having a strange season, just like his team.

Leicester City, struggling in the Premier League, have taken the Champions League by storm, winning their first three games in the competition, meaning qualification to the First Knockout Round is just around the corner.

The Algerian winger was the sole scorer in a 1-0 win over a stubborn Copenhagen on Tuesday night, and while he’s delighted of how the club are doing in Europe, and taking pleasure from it along the way, there are now other things to focus on.

Relayed by DZfoot, the Leicester star said: “We’re playing the Champions League for the first time, and, naturally, picking up nine points from our first three games wasn’t what people expected from us.

“Now, we need to focus on the Premier League, where a tough game against Crystal Palace awaits us.”

The player still couldn’t help but add a little extra bit about European football, explaining even ‘just the music (you know the one) sets the competition apart’ from the others they play in.

He’s not lying about enjoying it either, picking three goals and an assist in three Champions League games compared to one of each in eight Premier League appearances.

With Europe all but sorted for now, maybe this is the start of Leicester, and Mahrez, turning things around in England?
