It’s now time for Leicester City to get involved in the race for Arsenal winger Nicola Pepe.
The information comes from the French media, who’d already been speaking of Nice’s interest in the player as well, and now Media Foot shows up with a story saying the Foxes are the newest contenders for the signing.
The outlet points out Pepe ‘should not stay’ at Arsenal, as he’s courted ‘by several clubs’ in the European market.
Despite highlighting the interest from Nice, they say Leicester City ‘very recently gathered information’ on the Gunners’ forward.
It’s said the Foxes could ‘give it a go’ before the end of the summer market.
Even though Media Foot talks about the chase from Leicester and the Ligue 1 side, they don’t really bring any information on how much they’d need to spend to take Pepe from Mikel Arteta’s side.
The recent reports from France have also not mentioned a price for the forward, but he’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €25m, so that could give an idea of how much Leicester City would need to spend, even though Arsenal paid €80m for his signing three years ago.
