With Crystal Palace making an enquiry for Mario Lemina late in the transfer window, it isn’t entirely surprising to see other Premier League clubs being linked with the Gabon international.

According to GabonReview, Leicester City have decided to relaunch their attempts to sign the 23-year-old, after a few reports suggested they tried to sign him in the summer.

The player’s agent put to bed claims of a January move back in October when speaking to Sport Witness, yet with the midfielder only making 12 league appearances so far, the story could be very different next summer.

The Gabonese website claim Leicester see him as a ‘talented and motivated young footballer’ and has been ‘promising’ since his move from Marseille to Juventus.

With the Foxes struggling in the Premier League this season following last year’s unlikely success, remaining in the top flight is a must if they want to pull off this transfer, especially when he is unlikely to be cheap.

Bought for around £8m, GabonReview claim Juventus will want around £21m for the midfielder, which makes sense considering his age, talent and is under contract until 2020.

There’s very little on this elsewhere, so Leicester fans should probably wait a bit before getting excited about this.
