With a contract running out in June of this year, FC Porto’s Ótavio represents a potential good deal for clubs around Europe.
The 25-year-old has been in decent form for the Portuguese side this season, scoring two goals and assisting four others in 10 league appearances, which has caught the eye of clubs, including Leicester City.
That’s according to TuttoMercatoWeb journalist Gianluigi Longari, who took to Twitter to explain that AS Roma aren’t the only ones interested in the Brazilian, with Milan, Juventus, Napoli and the Foxes all ready to ‘enter the contest’.
Primarily an attacking midfielder, Ótavio would provide good cover for Leicester in a position where they aren’t entirely swimming with options in at the moment.
James Maddison is the main man featuring in the hole, and while Youri Tielemans or Dennis Praet can play there, it seems Brendan Rodgers would like a little extra depth, and if he can get it at no transfer cost, that would be a win-win for him and the King Power Stadium team.
