Leicester City midfielder Nampalys Mendy is in discussions about a move to China this month.
The Frenchman is out of favour at the Kingpower Stadium and has managed just two appearances and 71 minutes of football to date.
He has never managed to break into manager Brendan Rodgers plans, having made just nine appearances under the Northern Irishman since his arrival at the club last season.
He’s subsequently been linked with a move away from Leicester this month, with Turkish side Fenerbahçe thought to be keen.
According to their information the club, whose identity they do not know at this moment in time, are already in discussions to sign the Leicester player.
That would mean a transfer fee should be involved, although the report makes no mention of one, or indeed an asking price being set by Leicester at this stage.
Any fee is likely to be low either way given Mendy’s contract expires in the summer and, like most clubs, the Foxes would presumably prefer to get something now rather than the player leaving on a free.
