Premier League champions Leicester City have been strongly linked with a move for Leandro Paredes, but nothing has materialised until now.
A week go, Italian website Gazzetta dello Sport reported Leicester City could offer €15m for Paredes in the ‘coming hours’.
It was claimed Leicester’s offer of €15m should be enough to convince AS Roma. However, that doesn’t seem to be case if you were to believe Italian journalist Gianluca di Marzio.
Di Marzio says Leicester and Liverpool are interested in signing the Argentine midfielder, but AS Roma has no intention to sell him at the moment. AC Milan are also interested, but AS Roma are prepared to resist any offers as they want to keep the midfielder at the club beyond summer.
The 22-year-old spent the last season on loan at Empoli, and has another three years left on his contract. A very highly rated and admired young talent, there’s every possibility Roma believe his value will rise much higher over the next few years.
