Leicester City have been ‘interested’ in Angers’ Mohamed-Ali Cho ‘for a very long time’.

That’s according to Foot Mercato, who provide more details about the efforts made by the Foxes so far to take the 18-year-old in the winter market.

The forward has made 19 league appearances this season, which includes 14 starts, and has managed to find the back of the net on two occasions.

Despite his not so impressive record, the report states the youngster is in the sights of several European clubs, including Borussia Dortmund.

Brendan Rodgers’ side are another candidate to have ‘positioned themselves’ to sign the former Everton academy player this week. It’s claimed Leicester have sent emissaries to discuss things with officials of the Ligue 1 side.

Having held talks with Angers for the France U21 international, Foot Mercato explain the Premier League club ‘could even send an offer’ before the end of the transfer window.

Cho’s contract expires in 2023 and his employer are ‘asking for €40m’ to cut ties with the player.

It remains to be seen whether Leicester are ready to meet Angers’ demands to sign the player before the January window closes.
