Spanish outlet Cadena Cope brings today a double story on Leicester City, revealing a departure and an arrival which could happen in the January market.
It starts with Vincent Iborra. We’ve already covered this morning some claims from Marca saying the player would be happy to move to Sevilla in the winter window.
Now Cope says that the word at Sevilla is that Iborra isn’t having enough game time at the Foxes. That’s a reason to move for him, although his singing wouldn’t be cheap, as Leicester paid €15m to buy him.
So the alternative for them would be to try a loan deal, which is already being worked on.
And planning to bring another Spanish midfielder to the squad, Leicester City would be interested in Brais Méndes from Celta de Vigo.
Cope claims that the Foxes already tried to take the player in the summer, but Celta demanded his release clause, which stands at €25m.
It’s said that Leicester keep watching the player, and will try to get him once again in the January window. The offer should include a five-year contract for him, but the transfer amount isn’t revealed.
