Leicester City are targeting a move for Borussia Dortmund’s Soumaïla Coulibaly as a potential replacement for Caleb Okoli.

That’s according to Africa Foot, who report that Leicester are already planning for the summer transfer window and have the 21-year-old in their sights.

They explain that Leicester could lose Okoli, who only joined in a €14m deal from Atalanta in July but has found himself on AC Milan’s radar and are looking at options to replace him. Coulibaly is a player that they are ‘very interested’ in.

He’s spending the season on loan at Stade Brestois and has been in and out of the side this season, making more appearances in the Champions League than in Ligue 1.

That’s not put off Leicester, though, and they have reportedly made him ‘one of their priorities’ for the summer transfer window.

It’s not the first time England has come calling for him as Crystal Palace were interested last summer. Sevilla were also keen.

He has a contract with Dortmund until 2026 and is valued at around €9m but there is no indication of whether the German side would be willing to do a deal for him or what price they’d look for.

It seems he’s on Leicester’s list either way, although it might depend heavily on what happens with Okoli.
