As the big race for the Ludogorets’ forward Jonathan Cafu continues, it’s now claimed that the player will only leave the Bulgarian club for at least €10m.
According to A Bola today, Portuguese side Porto have asked for the player’s price and that’s what they’ve been told. The newspaper’s story also puts Lyon and Leicester City in the battle, with the French club a few steps ahead of others.
As revealed by Sport Witness last week, besides Leicester, Everton and West Ham have also had meetings to enquire about the player’s transfer conditions.
But Cafu is still to receive an official offer, and his entourage are listening to proposals from many interested clubs.
With eleven goals and seven assists this season, the 25-year-old has been showing some great potential at Ludogorets and feels it’s time to move to a bigger league. His contract there expires in 2018.
The competition for Leicester, Everton and West Ham is only going to grow, and given how Cafu has impressed in Europe this season, €10m sounds quite reasonable.
