Former Liverpool star Momo Sissoko is looking to sign for a Premier League club, after failing to earn a contract at West Bromwich Albion, according to reports in the English media.
Sissoko was on trial at West Brom, and even featured in a friendly against Indian side Delhi Dynamos, but Tony Pulis has decided against signing him.
According to Italian website Calciomercato.it, Leicester City could be the next destination for Sissoko.
Claudio Ranieri and the club’s new head of recruitment, Eduardo Macia, are apparently big admirers of the 31-year-old.
Sissoko has already played under Ranieri at Valencia, before he signed for Liverpool in 2005, and then at Juventus after he left the Merseyside club.
It’s worth pointing out Calciomercato.it are different from Calciomercato.com, and even more prone to big claims, but this may be an odd one to dream up.
Sissoko, however, will be hoping to sign for a new club soon, and a move to the defending champions and the chance of playing in the Champions League should be very tempting.
Being rejected by West Brom and then getting the chance of Leicester doesn’t sound like too bad a scenario.
