According to a report in the Greek media, Olympiacos defender Omer Elabdellaoui is a summer target for Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City, along with Celtic.
Sdna.Gr claim the 27 year old right back is on Leicester’s agenda ahead of the summer transfer window as Rodgers looks to bring in his first signings for the Foxes.
However, Rodgers’ former club Celtic will provide competition in the race to sign the player. With the uncertainty over the future of Mikael Lustig, Celtic could be in the market for a right back this summer, with Elabdellaoui an option for the Scottish Premiership champions.
Lustig has been linked with a move back to Sweden, although Celtic can extend his contract for another season.
Elabdellaoui has been in fine form for his club this season and Sdna report Olympiacos will be demanding €5m for the player if sold to either Leicester City or Celtic this summer.
The former Manchester City youth player has played 30 games for Olympiacos this season, scoring 4 goals and providing 7 assists for his teammates.
He is under contract with Olympiacos until June 2021.
