Edmond Tapsoba has been linked with a Premier League move in the final days of the transfer window.

The Vitória Guimarães defender has caught interest from other clubs with his performances this season, and Leicester City and Wolves were presented as being keen on a late January deal.

Wolves have done a lot of business in Portugal, and it would be no surprise if the 20 year old had been recommended to them by an agent.

Leicester City sends scouts to watch Liga Nos matches, and that’s likely how he’s caught the attention of Brendan Rodgers’ recruitment team.

Unfortunately for the English clubs, it looks like they’re going to miss out on the player, who it’s now believed is off to the Bundesliga.

Friday’s edition of O Jogo reports Vitória Guimarães have agreed to sell Tapsoba to Bayer Leverkusen.

He’ll move for around €18m and is set to have a medical today and sign a contract lasting until June 2025.
