Leicester City and West Ham United are again showing an interest in Sassuolo forward Grégoire Defrel, according to claims in the Italian media.
The Frenchman in the past two years has been linked with various moves to the Premier League.
TMW have today reported Defrel could be back on the agenda for Leicester City and West Ham, with the attacker eyeing a move this summer. Tottenham and Southampton are also said to be keen, but the it’s the former two with stronger previous links.
Defrel’s agent is expected to fly to London in the coming days with regards to finding a new club for his client. Sassuolo will not want their star player to leave this summer, but it’s likely they’ll be under pressure to finally allow him to get his big move.
West Ham were last linked with Defel six months ago when it was claimed the Hammers were in pole position to sign the 26-year-old. Slaven Bilic will be looking to bolster his attacking options this summer, and the Sassuolo star could again be a target.
Leicester City were tracking the player 12 months when there was uncertainty surrounding the future of Jamie Vardy. It was reported at the time Defrel was an option for Foxes if Vardy left the club.
