Even though SPAL have already announced they’re using their buying option to sign Andrea Petagna on a permanent deal, the striker may not last much longer at the club.

The player has impressed during his loan spell from Atalanta, and it may represent a pretty good deal for SPAL to spend €12m on the move this summer.

That’s because, as reported by Calcio Mercato, three clubs would be interested in getting the striker now. These are Leicester City, Lazio and the very same Atalanta.

It’s claimed that the Foxes already made the first contact in January, and are now ‘more convinced’ of making an attempt in the summer.

SPAL reportedly want €20m for the sale now. That’s not a price which pleases Lazio, so that may be a problem for them.

Meanwhile, for Atlanta to get him back, they would get €12m from the sale and add another €8m.

Petagna scored 17 goals for SPAL this season, so it’s no wonder why clubs have been chasing him. Calcio Mercato claims that the Serie A side still expect other big clubs to come for him.
