Portuguese side Sporting have reportedly opened talks with Leicester City for the return of Islam Slimani to Lisbon.
It’s newspaper O Jogo who reports it today, saying the Lions’ board is already in negotiations with the Foxes to get the player in the summer.
The outlet writes that Sporting would be starting contacts at the end of the season, but it turns out that both them and Leicester City want this case to be sorted as soon as possible.
The clubs are said to be negotiating a loan deal, which could include a ‘realistic’ buying option for the Lions to get the player permanently at the end of the spell.
Slimani was signed by Leicester City in the summer of 2016 on a €30m deal.
After unsuccessful loan spells at Newcastle United and now Fenerbahce, he would be making his third temporary move in a row.
