Leicester City have reportedly submitted a €27m (£23m) bid for the Santos starlet Gabriel Barbosa, as known as Gabigol.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the offer was made last night and the Foxes want to complete the signing as soon as possible.
By offering this, Leicester are outbidding Inter Milan, who offered €25m, and Juventus, who bid €20m.
It was already reported in the Brazilian media that the Foxes were set to meet the Santos president Modesto Roma in London, as he’s on a business trip in Europe.
So it now seems the official is going to Brazil with a bid in his hands.
Gabigol wants to decide his future only after the Olympics, but his agents and family are taking care of it all for now.
The Leicester bis would be enough to beat the player’s €18m release clause, and the extra millions would be to convince the player and his representatives.
