If you’ve been keeping up with all things Leicester City of late, you’ll know they are very interested in Lille’s Boubakary Soumaré.
The midfielder has been on the radar of many Premier League teams for quite some time now, but a recent report suggested it was the Foxes who were getting closest to getting a deal done with their Ligue 1 counterparts.
If that wasn’t enough proof for you, it’s now been revealed that Leicester had a scout present on Friday night to watch Lille play Lens in a heated derby that ended 3-0 in favour of Soumaré and his teammates.
Brendan Rodgers’ man was accompanied by a few other talent spotters, with Everton, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, Lyon, Paris Saint-Germain, Marseille, Nice, Rennes, Torino and Angers all sending people to keep an eye on the game.
Whether that was for specific players or just ahead of an upcoming fixture is up to us all to work out, but when it comes to Leicester, it’s fairly clear why they were there and who they were watching.
