Leicester City will send a scout to tomorrow’s game between Olympiacos and Arsenal to watch Omar Elabdellaoui in action, reports Greek website FosOnline.
Yesterday there were reports in the Greek media that two English clubs will follow him during Olympiacos’ Europa League tie against Arsenal, but there was no information about the teams.
FosOnline today report Leicester are one of those English sides which will travel to Greece to get a lowdown on Elabdellaoui.
It’s not reported if the Premier League club will follow this up and watch the tie at the Emirates next week.
The Norwegian right-back, who joined Manchester City’s academy when he was 17, had a loan spell at Hull City during the 2016/17 season.
The 28 year old will become a free agent at the end of the season and there hasn’t been any breakthrough in contract extension talks with Olympiacos. Subsequently the Foxes can open negotiations with the player with regards to a pre-contract agreement.
He’s made 32 appearances for Pedro Martins’ side this season, scoring one goal.
