According to Haber Global’s Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Leicester City watched Vedat Muriqi on Sunday when Fenerbahce beat their rivals Besiktas in the Istanbul derby.
Sabuncuoglu also reported two weeks ago that the Premier League side sent an official to get a lowdown on the Kosovan striker when Fener faced Genclerbirligi earlier this month.
It’s reported along with Leicester City, AS Monaco and Sevilla scouts were also at present to watch the 25 year old, who once again impressed the Super Lig side.
Muriqi scored Fenerbahce’s third goal against Besiktas, helping his side close the gap on the leaders in the race for the Turkish Super Lig title.
The former Rizespor striker has been linked with a move away from Fenerbahce despite joining club last summer, and Leicester City could face competition from fellow Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
He’s scored 10 goals for the Yellow Canaries this season and is under contract with them until June 2023. Muriqi has also shown this form when playing for his country, impressing in the Euro 2020 qualifiers.
