Since UOL reported on Monday that Leicester City are in talks for the signing of Lucas Beraldo from São Paulo, other outlets in the Brazilian media have been covering the situation.

One of them is Globo Esporte, who take it easy when talking about the possibility of a deal.

Globo confirm that Leicester City have indeed showed up as the strongest contender, and says the Foxes ‘study’ offering the €20m demanded by São Paulo.

It’s said the Championship side are not the only English club who want Beraldo, as Premier League clubs such as Chelsea, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers also ‘analyse’ him, so there could be more bids in the future. Especially after Wednesday, when the Brazilian season ends.

As journalist Jorge Nicola also covers the news, he says something interesting. He claims the numbers being spoken about are high, and in case Leicester City do offer €20m for the signing, we can ‘nail it’ that São Paulo will accept the deal, especially because they’re in need of sales.

So there’ll be great expectation for the Foxes offer.
