Robin Gosens is back on Leicester City’s transfer agenda, according to claims from Italy.
The left wing-back joined Inter Milan initially on a loan deal from Atalanta in January and his stay there was made permanent in the summer.
Simone Inzaghi has handed him three starts this term, out of which only one came in the league. With ‘little space’ at the Serie A side, the 28-year-old could ‘already leave’ the San Siro in January and Leicester could be an option.
That’s according to FcInterNews, who state the Foxes wanted the Germany international two years ago, while he was at Atalanta.
It’s claimed Leicester are looking for a left-back/left wing-back in the winter market and Gosens could be an option.
The English club have an excellent relationship with intermediary Paolo Busardò, which may help them in a potential deal. It’s to be noted the player isn’t managed by Busardò, but he could mediate a deal.
Although Leicester ‘return’ for their former target, Gosens’ potential move to the Premier League will depend on whether Brendan Rodgers will still be at the King Power Stadium in January, following a poor start to the season.
The Nerazzurri, for their part, are hopeful the player can go to the Qatar World Cup with the national team, to ‘relaunch and showcase himself’.
