Leicester City could be set for talks with Barcelona in the coming weeks, with regards to selling Riyad Mahrez to the Spanish side.
The France international’s form this season, and in particular the game against England, has resulted in the youngster’s value increasing, and therefore Leicester City’s Mahrez is now the cheaper option for Barcelona.
It’s been claimed Leicester City would be prepared to hold talks with Barcelona over a possible deal, now that Mahrez has told the Premier League side he wants to leave. Last year Barcelona wanted to sign the player, but Leicester City weren’t interested.
However, with situation now different the Foxes would consider a sale at offers between €35m and €40m.
Barcelona interest keeps popping up, but it doesn’t seem to be anything overly serious. There’s every chance Mahrez is a back-up option if several other ideas come to nothing.
