Leicester City are in the race to sign Ludogorets attacker Cafu, according to the claims in the Italian media. The 25-year-old has impressed for the Bulgarian side in this season’s Champions League, and along with Leicester City, Lazio and Lyon are also interested in the player.

La Lazio Siamo Noi have today revealed Leicester City and Lyon are the latest clubs to shown an interest in Cafu following Lazio’s attempts to sign the Brazilian. Cafu’s agent recently confirmed Lazio put in an offer with his club, but the bid tabled was deemed to be unsatisfactory.

With Lazio’s failure to land the winger, Leicester City and Lyon could now step in when the transfer opens in the New Year as the Serie A side can only bring in non EU players next summer.

Cafu signed for Ludogorets in 2015 from Sao Paulo in a club record deal, and has scored eleven goals in thirty games for the Bulgarians. The player recently impressed in the Champions League when he scored the leveller in his side’s 1-1 draw with Basel.
